Music4Life Auditions 2/19!

The ladies of the Alpha chapter of Chi Sigma Alpha would like to invite you to audition for their annual benefit show, Music4Life (which will be held on 4/15), which is now in its 7th year. The concert showcases some of Seattle’s most talented musical artists, dancers, and performers, with an ultimate goal to raise awareness for children with disabilities and our philanthropies, the Make-a-Wish Foundation & the Experimental Education Unit @ UW.

Each year, Music4Life grows in popularity, but ticket sales alone do not make the event a success— we are putting together another amazing line up this year. So if you have talent or know someone with talent, please audition for Music4Life!

WHERE: UW’s Ethnic Cultural Theater (ECT), located at Brooklyn & 40th
WHEN: 2/19, time slots by request (see below)
WHAT: Music4Life is a celebration of ALL genres & forms of music, so it doesn’t matter if you sing, dance, write poetry, play an instrument… whatever it is you do, we want to see it!

IN SHORT : come out and showcase your talent for a good cause!

If you have questions or would like to sign up for auditions, please contact
Ellise Uyema [808.386.4214] or Czarina Butac [253.736.3441]

Happy Thanksgiving from Chi Sigma Alpha!

This past weekend, the sisters of the Alpha Chapter volunteered at the Healthy Holidays Festival at the Asian Resource Center in Seattle’s International District. The event was hosted by the the community health plan & the ACRS for the Asian-American community. Many families came to learn about accessing health insurance, watch various performances, play games, & to enjoy some delicious food.

The UW Chi Sigs had a lot of fun helping out at the event, and even got to meet Seattle Sounder forward David Estrada, not to mention an Asian-American Santa Claus!

The Alpha chapter proudly presented the 7 ladies of their Pi pledge class on 11.20.10.

On behalf of the sisters of Chi Sigma Alpha, we would like to thank the following organizations for attending presentations & for their continued support & friendship to our sisterhood: alpha Kappa Delta Phi sorority, Gamma Alpha Omega sorority, Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, Lambda Phi Epsilon fraternity, Omega Delta Phi fraternity, Pi Alpha Phi fraternity, Sigma Beta Rho fraternity, Sigma Lambda Gamma sorority, Sigma Psi Zeta sorority, Zeta Kappa Epsilon fraternity.

Good job to the Alpha chapter’s External Vice President, Michelle Wong, for helping to achieve such unity amongst the minority Greek organizations at the University of Washington.

The Alpha chapter’s 7th annual Halloween party ‘ASYLUM’, thrown with the help of the brothers of Lambda Phi Epsilon, was another huge sold-out success. The party took place at Seattle’s King Cat Theater on 10.29.10 with over 2,000 people in attendance. Money fundraised from the event will be used for future events, such as their annual benefit show and sisterhood scholarship program.
A special thank you to the 4 ladies that visited from Oregon State University… we hope you had fun, & we hope to see you again very soon!
